MRI Scans

Research

The NOMAD Lab is interested in a wide range of research topics on mood and anxiety-related disorders. Its main program of research utilizes a combination of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and large-scale meta-analytic, as well as machine-learning tools, to analyze patterns of brain activation and better elucidate disorder-specific and transdiagnostic biomarkers and mechanisms of psychiatric disorders. The findings from these studies are then used to inform the development of better diagnostic systems and interventions, including prevention strategies, antidepressant treatment matching, psychedelic pharmacotherapy, and non-invasive brain stimulation (NIBS).
